About Madame Butterfly

Madame Butterfly established in 2010 is a representation of fashion designer/ owner Nadine Grobler who has always had a passion and inspiration from being involved in the fashion design industry.

At Madame Butterfly we source only the best hand selected fabrics to produce our exquisite and exclusive handmade seasonal clothing ranges, all manufactured by Nadine herself in Clarens. We only select the finest local and international handmade accessories and apparel to complement the seasons range. I personally hand select everything that goes into Madame Butterfly bringing a lot of personal influence to this unique clothing and accessories store.

We believe in supporting small entrepreneurs with beautiful uniquely handcrafted items.
Each of our suppliers tells a story in which Madame Butterfly is full of richness from all the hard work labour and effort that goes into each unique piece.

Our aim is for our customers to see and appreciate the beauty in every single handcrafted item in Madame Butterfly.

Owner /fashion designer Nadine Grobler completed her bachelor’s degree in arts and fashion design at LISOF. She since had her editorial debut showcasing her designs in various fashion Magazines countrywide. From starting off with custom-made bridal wear at her Rosebank studio she then opened her first retail store in Clarens in 2014. The flagship store was the start of a new adventure with a second branch opening in Nottingham road Midlands in 2019.
